Meet our Coaches!
A Eureka native, Jacob graduated from St. Bernards before moving on to CR where he ran track. He then transferred to Humboldt State earning his B.A. in clinical psychology in 2015. His research area of study will focus on mental skills training and correctional exercise. He is also an NCAA accredited Certified Personal Trainer.
As a part of his studies, Jacob is in the process of earning a Personal Training certification (CPT) from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Additionally, he is also en route to becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Jacob is very excited to be a part of our team and looks forward to further involving himself with his community.

Another Humboldt County local and Eureka High graduate, Steve joins our coaching staff with an extensive background in fitness. He remembers being 12-13 years old and having his mom drop him off to work with Drew Peterson to work out in the summer lifting programs held at Humboldt State. That was the foundation and first steps of his commitment to fitness.
Steve is a NASM certified Personal Trainer and has extensive knowledge in dietary health. He actively competes as a body builder in the Men’s Physique category, training for nearly three years before his first competition. In his free time, he helps coach football at Eureka High and also holds a pilates teaching certification. He is enthusiastic to be working his dream job in the community he grew up in and looks forward for the additions at Mill Creek!
